1st Weekend in August
Over 100 artists and artisans from Texas and throughout the Southwest display their works of oil, acrylics, watercolors, pastels as well as mixed media including woodwork, sculpture, jewelry, glassworks and metal work.
The climax of the weekend is the Best of the Best exhibit featuring artists recognized by Texas Commission on the Arts as the best in the state.
2nd Weekend in October
The event on the grounds of the Salado
Civic Center typically includes over 30 local merchants displaying a wide array of Christmas treasures, including home decor, kaleidoscopes, candles and home scents, artists, and clothing.
What a wonderful way to kick off
the holiday season. The festivities will inspire you to get a jump start on your Christmas shopping.
Last Weekend in September
The Village of Salado hits a sweet spot with weekend getaway fans.
The three-day chocolate celebration, sponsored by our Tourism Department, promises to satisfy all the senses with chocolate, wine tastings, music, demonstrations, chocolate sculpting, a gourmet chocolate and champagne brunch, and gallery tours.
1st & 2nd Weekends in December
Get in the holiday spirit in picturesque historic, Salado, Texas, with a holiday parade, home tours, a live nativity scene and theatrical performances. The first two weekends of December are filled with entertainment, activities and Christmas shopping experiences for the whole family.
Strolling holiday carolers will serenade the late evening shoppers along Main Street each weekend. Children will be enchanted with the live nativity scene, sponsored by the First Baptist Church, in the evenings. And Santa could appear on any corner.
