Salado History

From a modest beginning in 1859, Salado has become a center of retail growth and the home of many renowned artists. Salado has many historic homes and buildings, many of which have been converted into pleasing and desirable bed and breakfast locations, office space, and retail space.

The Economic Development Committee of the Village of Salado is working hard to accommodate the growth and preserve the wonderful history of this area.
