Non-essential businesses in Salado COVID-19 restrictions

Effective immediately, non-essential businesses in Salado, including retail shops and restaurants, must reduce their occupancy limit from 75% to 50% due to the rising number of COVID-19 hospitalizations in the Bell County area.  In addition, bars with mixed-beverage permits must close and bars with beer-wine retail permits are limited to to-go service only. The tighter restrictions were announced today (January 6, 2021) by Bell County Judge David Blackburn after the Judge was notified by the State of Texas that area's COVID-19 hospitalization rate has exceeded fifteen (15) percent for seven (7) straight days. View the new restrictions below, which also prohibit elective surgeries and public gatherings of ten (10) or more people without Village approval. The tighter restrictions will remain in place until the area's hospitalization rate remains at or below 15 percent for seven (7) straight days.
