ABOUT DEVELOPMENT SERVICES

Development Services includes all planning, development, and permitting activities in Salado. The department brings together building services, civil engineering, planning, zoning, permit applications, and records to provide citizens and development professionals with the information and support they need to expeditiously and safely design and build quality commercial and residential projects in our Village. 

Services

• To facilitate the adequate provisions of Village resources such as roads and wastewater
• Issuing permits for construction, renovation, electrical, plumbing, irrigation, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), water heaters, certificates of occupancy, and signs
• Ensuring that all construction occurs in accordance with all applicable laws, ordinances, and building codes
• Maintenance and enforcement of all development-related ordinances
• Contractor registration and licensing
