Rick Marruffo is a 26-year veteran of the United States Navy, having served during Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and the Global War on Terrorism. His extensive professional background includes experience in safety, human resources, and Lean Six Sigma.

Rick holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Safety and Health. His professional experience and military service have provided him with a strong foundation in leadership, organizational management, safety, and continuous improvement.

A Salado resident for seven years, Rick is actively involved in the community and is a member of the American Legion. Through his community involvement, he has helped organize parades and a variety of community events that bring residents and visitors together.

As an elected official, Rick is committed to supporting smart and well-managed growth while preserving Salado’s rich history and unique character. His goals include helping maintain a safe, welcoming community for residents and visitors while supporting the continued success and growth of local businesses.
