SHORT-TERM RENTAL REGULATIONS

The purpose of short-term rental regulations is to safeguard the life, health, safety, welfare, and property of the occupants of residential dwelling units, the neighbors of said occupants, and the general public, and to minimize adverse impacts to the Salado community, through the registration and regulation of short-term rentals and to ensure the proper collection and payment of hotel occupancy taxes and permitting fees.

These regulations shall apply to all existing and future residential properties, both primary and accessory structures, and any portions thereof, within the municipal limits of the Village and within its ETJ.

STR Permit and Permit Renewal Fees

Initial Permit Fee: $200 for 1st year (includes Life Safety Inspection)
Renewal Fee: $100 annually
Re-inspection Fee $100

Occupancy Tax:

Seven percent (7%) of the price paid for a room
